Facilities at The RuahThe cottage is well equipped with the following:

 

Hot water

The immersion heater provides hot water as required.

Electric heating

Background heating is provided by panel heaters in the living area and the bedroom.

Wood burning stove

The stove is multi-fuel and burns coal and wood.

Washer/dryer

Dual fuel cooker

The hob is propane and there is an electric oven.

Microwave

Electric blankets

Television

The television has built in Freeview and DVD player and we have a (small) selection of DVDs.

CD player

CD player/radio as well as a selection of CDs.

Septic tank

The Ruah has a metered water supply and a septic tank for grey waste water and sewage. We try to use ‘septic tank friendly’ cleaning products where possible, such as Ecover.

Rubbish/recycling

The compost bin was behind the wall next to the old mill but it disappeared during a storm. However, if you keep compostable items separately we will collect them later. There is a mini recycling centre (for glass, paper and cans) near the ferry terminal.

LinenSheets and towels are included in the rental.
